Approx. 60 learners, Including ceramics, fabric painting, collages, photography, acrylic paint, pencil crayons, wax crayons, charcoal about making images, telling stories, using hands and minds, having conversations, interacting, sharing ideas and experiences. No programs, no curriculum, no right and wrong Images found a place to be made during lockdown. The involvement of the mothers via what’s app with the artist’s, engaged the learners in activities new to most. The Orange art project support team gave solid back up to this educational, social cohesion project. The artists As lockdown lifted the artist’s and core team visited the homes and worked with the families in the houses. The eight artists have various levels of experience as practising artists and teachers. They could then respond and interact with the needs of each child; varying in age from 3 to 18 and in some homes up to eight children, the artists were challenged and excited by the task of engaging personally and in groups For detailed information call Jill Trappler, for Orange art project. This video was created as both a media an a educational tool. We used a green screen to allow us to drop in the different backgrounds and text in editing.
